Itinerary
Today we start with a 20-minute transfer to the village of Nahorevo. After a short warm-up ride through the surroundings of Sarajevo, we continue the climb on the old country road to the Skakavac waterfall (90 m).
After visiting the Skakavac waterfall, we continue to Crepoljsko and Bukovik, the peaks of the mountains on the outskirts of Sarajevo.
The name “Skakavac” means “grasshopper” in Bosnian and it is the largest continuously flowing waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a height of 98 meters. From below we are presented with a fantastic view of water, mist and forest. This wonderful area passes through dense coniferous forests, which are ideal for mountain biking due to the numerous gravel and forest trails. The trail is perfect for mountain bike lovers and those who enjoy exploring hilly and forested landscapes.
Moderate to challenging ride / 20 min transfer to Nahorevo village / 5-6 hrs biking / 1,080 m ascent and 1,300 m descent / 33 km / 20 % singletrack, 60 % gravel, 20 % asphalt
