Moderate Sarajevo snowshoe hike with the best views of the mountains south of the city. Following the back roads of Bjelašnica, we reach the Rakitnica river and cross it towards Visočica mountain. Nestled in the hills, just above the rugged walls of this mountain, lies the village of Sinanovići (1,250 m). The climb takes us through beech forests and then open, rocky terrain to the summit of Crveni Kuk (1,733 m). We are rewarded with far-reaching views of the highest mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as neighboring Montenegro. Mountains such as Romanija, Jahorina, Treskavica, Bjelašnica and Sutjeska National Park, all elegantly wrapped in white coats, are perfect for our cameras.

Should the weather turn bad, we will always find refuge in one of the mountain huts to enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee. A beautiful circular hike will bring us back to the starting point. In short, our Sarajevo snowshoe hike is an ideal activity for anyone who wants to escape the city for a few hours.
