Immerse yourself in the timeless life of the Dinaric Alps and experience authentic village life in Lukomir, the highest and most isolated mountain village in Bosnia. This unique day tour begins with a 1.5-hour drive from Sarajevo to Lukomir. Here you will experience first-hand how the traditional ways of life of the highlanders, which have remained unchanged for centuries, continue to exist in a modern world.
In Lukomir, villagers still wear traditional clothing and live according to centuries-old customs, giving you a unique insight into Europe's past. On the outskirts of the village, you will enjoy stunning views of the Rakitnica Canyon, 800 meters below you, as well as the surrounding Obalj and Visočica mountains. You will have the opportunity to meet the villagers and learn more about their lives in this beautiful but challenging environment.
After visiting the village, we will hike to the 40-meter-high Peruce waterfall before returning to Gornji (Upper) Lukomir. At the end of the day, you can also admire and purchase local handicrafts.
