This two-day adventure takes you far off the beaten track!
Enjoy the best of Sutjeska National Park and rafting on the Tara River.
Day 1:
We leave Sarajevo and head towards southeast Bosnia to Foča. Today we will dive deep into the Sutjeska National Park. After a two-hour drive, we will reach the deep and picturesque canyon of the Sutjeska River. During this tour, we will turn towards the Dragoš saddle and take a look at the Skakavac waterfall, located deep in the Perucica valley. We will walk through the dense forest, rich in endemic flora.
From here we continue our journey to Prijevor, where even more incredible views of this majestic park await us. Maglić, Zelengora and Volujak tower around us… many have compared the experience to Yellowstone National Park. At the edge of the forest we descend to the glacial lake Trnovačko, which sits at 1,500 meters amidst a vast amphitheater of rocky peaks. Then, weather permitting, we enjoy an ice-cold swim (only for the really fit) and a delicious lunch where you can relax and admire some of Bosnia's best peaks around you. After lunch we return to civilization and enjoy the soft glow of the setting sun over Zelengora and Maglić, the highest peaks in Bosnia.
Tonight we spend the night in simple wooden bungalows by the river, accompanied by the sound of the water and a campfire.

Day 2:
After a delicious breakfast, today we head to Tara River, one of the four beautiful whitewater rivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina that offer professionally guided rafting tours. Tara River is one of the best in Europe with difficulty levels II-IV. This Tara rafting tour will pleasantly surprise you with its breathtaking wilderness and unforgettable landscapes. Our skippers from the Highlander team are certified by the International Rafting Federation.
A jewel among the world's natural heritage sites, the Tara River is home to Europe's largest canyon. The river runs along the border with Montenegro and stretches for 140 kilometers of natural beauty. The 1,300-meter-deep canyon has created some of Europe's best rafting and kayaking opportunities. This oasis and protected area has a long tradition of extreme sports and also offers easy family outings that appeal to a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.
After rafting and a homemade lunch we will be taken back to Sarajevo.
