Board a bus in Sarajevo and head out of the city. During the bus ride, you will learn how the war started, why the National Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina was destroyed and how many people died. On the way to the Tunnel Museum along the “Sniper Alley” you will hear stories about what life was like during those dark years.
After this introduction, you will learn the story of a very important 800-meter-long tunnel that connected the occupied and free areas of Sarajevo. Upon arrival at the museum, you will walk through part of the original tunnel and watch a film about the war in Sarajevo.
Your guide will explain the role of the tunnel during the siege, its construction, use and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. On the way back to the city, you will talk to your guide about Sarajevo and its future.
