A very beautiful, historic mosque with Ottoman architecture. The library and the madrasa (school) demonstrate how important education was to the Ottomans at that time. Religion and education were inseparable... The mosque's namesake is buried next to the mosque. I thought it was a shame that the mosque isn't always open. In the summer, there are visitors in the mosque courtyard from morning until about 11:00 PM.

Truly a striking building in Sarajevo's Old Town. I just don't understand why they charge admission for this mosque. That's why I only admired it from the outside.

The city's most special mosque, located in the heart of the old town. Very beautiful.

Gazi Husrev-Bey Mosque (Gazi Husrev-begova džamija) - one of the most important mosques in Bosnia, built in 1531 and for a long time the largest mosque in Turkish Bosnia.

Interesting mosque, entrance fee 5km. We were there alone on a Tuesday in September.
