Discover the secret of the Bosnian pyramids in Visoko
The pseudo-archaeological theory about the Bosnian pyramids suggests that the Visočica hill and two neighboring hills near Visoko are actually giant pyramids built by humans over 10,000 years ago. Since the Bosnian pyramids in Visoko came to light, they have continued to captivate the interest of people both in the region and across Europe. This phenomenon was uncovered by Semir Osmanagić, who proposed the hypothesis about the pyramid complex and an underground tunnel system in April 2005.
The 213-meter-high Visočica Hill, once home to the ancient town of Visoki, has a shape reminiscent of a pyramid. Excavations led by Osmanagić revealed a geological structure that includes a paved entrance level with tunnels, stone blocks and ancient concrete that is believed to have once covered the structure. International teams of experts from Australia, Ireland, Scotland and Slovenia participated in these excavations. From 2008 to 2018, six international ICBP conferences were held in Sarajevo and Visoko, focusing on discoveries and the importance of further research on the pyramids in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The complex of the Bosnian pyramids
The Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids complex is said to be the largest collection of pyramid-shaped structures. It consists of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, which is significantly taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon at 190 meters, the Pyramid of the Bosnian Dragon at 90 meters, and the worked elevations of the Temple of Mother Earth and the Pyramid of Love.
Georadar and thermal imaging of the pyramids confirmed the existence of corridors and rooms inside the pyramids in Visoko. Analyses of stone samples from the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, carried out in material institutes in Italy and Bosnia, showed that it was high-quality concrete that covered the pyramid. The underground labyrinth beneath Visoko stretches for dozens of kilometers and consists of corridors, rooms and artificial underground lakes.
The largest Bosnian pyramids
The pyramids of the Sun, Moon and Dragon form a precise equilateral triangle with a distance of 2,170 meters between their peaks. The orientation of each pyramid is exact and points towards cosmic north.
The phenomena of the Bosnian pyramids have been covered by major global media outlets, including BBC, FOX, CBS, and the Discovery Science Channel also dedicated an episode to the Bosnian pyramids in its series “Unexplained Files”, in which the pyramids were described as energy machines.
Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun
The Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun is unique due to its height of over 220 meters and precise geometry with three well-preserved sides. It is covered with concrete blocks, which, according to analyses, are superior to modern concrete. The orientation of the north side to cosmic north deviates minimally by less than one degree, and the inclination of the sides to the base is 45 degrees. Georadar scans confirmed the existence of internal passages, while Croatian physicists detected the presence of an energy bundle with a radius of 4.5 meters through the top of the pyramid.
During the summer months, the shadow of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun covers the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon before sunset, showing a clear astronomical relationship between these two pyramids. The pyramid is covered with layers of soil and vegetation, and the Federal Institute of Pedology estimated the age of the earth cover to be 12,000 years, making the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun the oldest pyramid on the planet. The discovery of the pyramid along with its energetic and astronomical phenomena attracts tourists from all over the world.
Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon
The Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon stands out with its height of 190 meters, surpassing even the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. It is made of a combination of worked sandstone slabs and clay found in the area. Sandstone quarries and a clay spring, which served as a binder, waterproof material and insulation, are located nearby. The design of the pyramid is terraced, giving it a special structure among the pyramids worldwide.
The top layer of sandstone slabs is fixed to the base, and organic material was found by examination with an archaeological probe. According to a 2011 radiocarbon analysis at the Institute of Physics of the University of Silesia in Gliwice, Poland, the material dates to 10,350 BC, confirming the extreme age of the construction of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon.
