In 1984, the women's downhill competition was held on Jahorina. This Olympic centre also has cross-country ski trails and other sports facilities. But that's not all: not only the fast descents are a highlight, but also the modern ski lifts that take you back up comfortably to the top and then back down the mountain. You can choose whether you want to use the perfectly groomed slopes or meander through the glittering powder snow.

Bjelašnica is one of the most popular mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited especially in the winter season by hundreds of thousands of people, from locals to numerous other guests, increasingly also from neighboring countries.

The slopes in Babin Dol are among the best ski resorts in Europe. The ski resort has eight ski slopes and five children's slopes, as well as three chair lifts and five ski lifts that go up to the top of Bjelašnica at 2,067 meters above sea level. Bjelašnica is thus a unique and authentic mountain, which is undoubtedly one of the many treasures of Bosnian nature.

Some of the slopes are equipped with high-quality competition lighting for night skiing, and the ski center also has an installed system for artificial snowmaking on the slopes. The modernization of vertical transport includes, in addition to a 6-seater chairlift, the construction of a 4-seater chairlift from the intermediate station to the top of Bjelašnica.

Cross-country skiing is considered the healthiest sport in the world. With a little momentum and the use of poles, almost all of the muscles in the body are trained evenly. The large field on Igman served as a venue for Nordic disciplines during the 1984 Olympic Games and is still used for this attractive sport today.

Beginners and ambitious athletes will certainly enjoy the 30 km of cross-country ski trails on Veliko Polje on Igman.

Risovac

Mount Borja and Hajdučke Vode

When visiting Borja, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, the impressive pine forest after which the mountain is named, and the fresh mountain air that you will breathe with every step. The highest peak of the mountain is Velika Runjevica, which is 1,077 meters high, making this place a real "climatic health resort".
