Hajdučka vrata is an extraordinary stone circle that was formed over thousands of years under the influence of wind, rain, sun and other natural conditions. Its beauty and the view from the gates are simply breathtaking. According to legend, the Hajduk declared himself here, and anyone who passed through the gate became invulnerable. Hajduks were outlaws in southeastern Europe.
Their main enemy was the Ottoman state, so they were rebels and freedom fighters among the people. Little known is the fact that one of the Lord of the Rings trilogies was to be filmed at Hajdučka vrata. This was not because of the inaccessible terrain. Due to their aesthetic and landscape value, Hajdučka vrata were protected as a natural monument in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1985.
